Lots of fun and good for people out for a run with a twist, the average runner looking to break up the monotony, and those folks sprinting the whole thing (I hate them). I highly recommend this event and hope that you do it more than once a year. Why not one in the spring to kick off the season?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3737365451807918466.post-6269698322439910062007-11-19T14:26:00.000-08:002007-11-19T14:26:00.000-08:00Well done for fun event...even though we got lost ...Well done for fun event...even though we got lost and ran 2km further than others.

Turn this into adventure racing by doing 20 and 30 routes at night time! Running around chatting to people about where the bases were etc was a bit more sociable than a regular run - a nice change.

Toby - maybe you could offer a bit more guide to how the scoring works, it seems to be about timing and bases visited but some clarification would be helpful. Thanks.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3737365451807918466.post-51679872183023607442007-11-19T08:29:00.000-08:002007-11-19T08:29:00.000-08:00This was my third race (my first being the Hydro A...This was my third race (my first being the Hydro Active 5k in Hyde Park, 2nd being Hellrunner) and thoroughly enjoyed it & definately will be marked on my calender for next year. I started running recently with a view at participating in Adventure Races but this has whet my appetite for Orienteering! We had a great time. The whole event was great fun and there was a good friendly atmosphere with everyone helping each other without losing the competetive edge. Perhaps not as gruelling as an 'adveture race' but certainly an adventure all the same. See you next year. Well done.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3737365451807918466.post-71990852597612440162007-11-18T11:46:00.000-08:002007-11-18T11:46:00.000-08:00One hell of an event. We would definitely do it again and will consider taking up orienteering. A great venue. Our children (5 and 7) would love to do a shorter version (probably with grandparents helping).

Carl and Jennie WebbAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3737365451807918466.post-51646017628429822112007-11-02T10:32:00.000-07:002007-11-02T10:32:00.000-07:00I am sure the "Orientator 10Km" will be a fine rac...I am sure the "Orientator 10Km" will be a fine race, and a great deal of fun.
